Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 This is a revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters, 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
