Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
