Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
