O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
