The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
