۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
