The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing? 1 Indeed We have created man from mixed semen; in order to test him – We therefore made him hearing, knowing. 2 Verily, We have shown him the way: [and it rests with him to prove himself] either grateful or ungrateful. 3 We have prepared for unbelievers chains and collars and a blazing fire. 4 The virtuous shall drink from a cup tempered with camphor water. 5 A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance]. 6 They fulfil their pledges, and fear a day the evil of which is widespread. 7 And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive, 8 "We only feed you for the sake of God and we do not want any reward or thanks from you. 9 for we fear from our Lord a stern, frownful Day' 10 God will certainly rescue them from the terror of that day and will meet them with joy and pleasure. 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Where they will recline on couches feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold. 13 The shades of Paradise will bend over them, and its fruits will be brought within their easy reach; 14 And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,- 15 (Bright as) glass but (made) of silver, which they (themselves) have measured to the measure (of their deeds). 16 And in that [paradise] they will be given to drink of a cup flavoured with ginger, 17 therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil. 18 ۞ There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. 19 When you see them, you see bliss, and a great Kingdom. 20 Their raiment will be fine green silk and gold embroidery. Bracelets of silver will they wear. Their Lord will slake their thirst with a pure drink. 21 It will be said to them, “This is your reward – indeed your efforts have been appreciated.” 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
