The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
