The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 for, behold, he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
