The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
