The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 And the day resplendent 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
