I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 Warn the men. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
