Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
