The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
