The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
