The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
