Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
