The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
