Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
