۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
