The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
