When the Messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 "Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active." 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79
