The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
