T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
