The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
