The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
