The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and extended shade, 30 And water everflowing. 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
