In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
