[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 It is He who multiplied you on the earth, and it will be before Him that you will be gathered. 79 He is the One who gives life and causes death and He controls the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. 83 Say: "If you have knowledge, 'to whom belongs the earth' and, 'whoever is in it? '" 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Glorious Throne?" 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say: "Whose is the sovereignty over all things, who protects, and against whom there is no protection? {Answer) if you have knowledge." 88 They will say, "All this belongs to God." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 We have brought before them the Truth, and there is no doubt that they are lying. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
