The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The All High (Al-A'alaa). Sent down in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
