The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And rejects the best, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
