The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: 1 What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what can make you know what that is? 10 A burning fire. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
