And We sent Noah to his people; and he, said, 'O my people, serve God! You have no god other than He. Will you not be godfearing?" 23 So the disbelieving chieftains of his people said, “He is just a human like you, he wishes to become your leader; and had Allah willed, He would have sent down angels; We did not hear this in the case of our forefathers.” 24 He is only a man possessed; so wait and watch him for a time." 25 He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. 26 So We revealed to him, saying: Make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation; and when Our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned. 27 When all of you settle in the Ark, say, "Only God Who has saved us from the unjust people deserves all praise". 28 And say: "My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing-place, for You are the Best of those who bring to land." 29 There were surely signs in this; We will surely put you to the test. 30 Then, after them, We brought forth another generation; 31 We sent to them a Messenger from among their own people who told them, "Worship God; He is your only Lord. Will you then not have fear of Him?" 32
