And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
