Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
