۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 he will pray for utter destruction 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
