The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
