The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9
