۞ Say to them, (O Prophet): “I give you but one counsel: stand up (for heaven's sake), singly and in pairs, and then think: what is it in your companion (to wit, Muhammad) that could be deemed as madness?” He is nothing but a warner, warning you before the coming of a grevious chastisement. 46 Say: "The reward I ask is for yourself. My reward is due from none but God; and He is witness over everything." 47 Say: "My Lord casts the truth: He is the knower of things unknown." 48 Say: “The Truth has come and falsehood can neither originate nor recreate anything.” 49 Say: "Were I to go astray, I would but go astray [due to my own self, and] to the hurt of myself; but if I am on the right path, it is but by virtue of what my Sustainer reveals unto me: for, verily, He is all-hearing, ever-near!" 50 If thou couldst but see when they will quake with terror; but then there will be no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a position (quite) near. 51 And they will [then] say, "We believe in it!" But how for them will be the taking [of faith] from a place far away? 52 They had rejected it before, while they indulged in conjectures from far away. 53 A gulf will exist between them and their desires on the Day of Judgment like the similar people who lived before. They, too, had lived in doubt and uncertainty (about the life hereafter). 54
