And indeed We created towers in the skies, and beautified it for the beholders. 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 but if anyone eavesdrops, he is pursued by a bright flaming fire. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 We send fertilizing winds, and then cause rain to descend from the sky, providing you abundant water to drink even though you could not have stored it up for yourselves. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 And well do We know [the hearts and deeds of all human beings - both] those who lived before you and those who will come after you; 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
