Have you not seen how those who dispute the revelations of God, turn away from Truth to falsehood? 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When the fetters and chains are round their necks they shall be dragged 71 Through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. 72 Then shall it be said to them: Where is that which you used to set up 73 Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter the gates of hell to abide therein, evil then is the abode of the proud. 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78
