And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Even then they say: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
