Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
