By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
