The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
