The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For all that they used to do. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
