It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give. 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We and our forefathers were promised this before. This is nothing but fables of the ancients." 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, "All this belongs to God." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself any son, nor is there any god with Him; for then each god would have taken off that he created and some of them would have risen up over others; glory to be God, beyond that they describe, 91 He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! 92
