HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
