The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
