This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
