Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
